Why do I have to come into the admissions office to apply?
We require all applicants to meet with an admissions representative for their benefit. Our admissions department wants to make certain the applicant knows every important detail about the program they are applying for. This meeting is also for the applicants to ask all questions about the school, its faculty & staff, and view our facilities.
I work during the day, can I come in after 5:00pm or on the weekend for my appointment?
Our admissions representatives are very flexible and will work with you to find a time that you have available, including weeknights and weekends. Call the admissions office today and ask to speak to a representative for more details.
What are your requirements for admissions?
Each program has different requirements. For all programs the minimum requirement is a high school diploma or GED diploma.
I have my education transcript from a foreign country will this fulfill my education requirements?
All coursework done outside the United States will have to be evaluated by an evaluation service to show the U.S. equivalency of your particular education. Our admissions representatives have the contact information for several of these services, call them and ask which one will be best for you.
When does your next class start?
For specific dates and deadlines call the admissions office and speak to an admissions representative.
Do you offer financial assistance?
Yes, Sleep Studies School offers a variety of tuition assistance programs to make going to school more affordable. We also provide installment plans for those who cannot secure financing or want to pay their tuition over time.
How do I apply for the loan?
Sleep School's financial advisors will fill out loan paperwork and submit your loan application. Just pick up the phone and make an appointment. We will help you apply for the student loan of your choice. We will work closely with each individual to determine the best financial option available.
Are there a lot of jobs in healthcare?
The education you receive at Sleep Studies School will give you the skills to land your first job in healthcare. Your career in healthcare will always thrive because of the constant advancements, resulting in a constant need for healthcare professionals. Sleep Studies School was founded to fill these needs in healthcare by offering programs that do not take as long as medical school, but succeeds in providing competent, skillful professionals.
Do you have job placement and can you guarantee me a job?
Yes, Sleep School has job placement; however, we cannot guarantee you a job, but you can! We will do everything we can to get your foot in door of the your new career. We will assist in scheduling interviews, and circulating your resume. However, it is the responsibility of the student to show up to these interviews, on time, and ready to impress the interviewer with their skills and knowledge. You can ensure yourself a job by maintaining a good GPA, demonstrating professionalism and skill at your clinical rotations, and then outlining these achievements to possible employers.
What other services do you have after I graduate?
As a Sleep Studies School alumni, our doors are always open to you. The institute is a great source for a well-connected community of healthcare professionals. We have alumni meetings and CME credit opportunities. It is very beneficial to your career as a healthcare professional to remain an active alumnus.
How can I receive an official copy of my transcript from Sleep Studies School?
You can obtain an official transcript, simply by requesting one in writing. On a piece of paper, list your personal information: name while attending, social security number, and where you want the official copy to be mailed. A processing fee of $5.00 should also be included (certified funds only).
Can I take the registry exam with ARDMS after I finish your program?
Students holding a Bachelor's degree are eligible to take the registry exam immediately after completing our program. Students without a Bachelor's degree have to work full time for one year to be eligible for the exam. Sleep Studies School admissions criteria still apply.
Do I have to be registered to be employed as a sonographer?
No. You can definitely be hired as a sonographer without being registered. However, we do encourage all of our students to take the registry exam to add to their credentials and therefore further their careers.
Can I choose where I do my clinical?
Where you are placed for your clinical is determined by our clinical coordinator. We have a wide variety of clinical affiliates located throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area.
Can I do my clinical at night?
Based upon clinical site availability and in an attempt to provide the student with a well-rounded experience, students may be required to complete their externships at more than one clinical facility. Actual times for externships are set by the externship site.
What hospitals are your clinical affiliates?
Sleep Studies School has a long list of premiere medical and imaging centers as our clinical affiliates. Call the admissions office and ask a representative about the different sites available.
I work in a hospital, can I set up my own clinical?
Yes you can. To arrange a full time six month clinical rotation with your place of work, you can start by calling the clinical coordinator at the campus.
